Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has said that a member of the Pariyar who died in the Jenji Jinji movement should be provided employment. Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Bhattarai said that the government should provide employment to the family members of the deceased during the Zenji movement as well as provide appropriate compensation.

Chairman of Naya Shakti of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has said that he has not stepped away from politics even though he has resigned from the post of party chairman. He said he stepped down from the post of president to encourage a new generation of leadership. Addressing a press conference today, Dr. Bhattarai said, “I am not separated from any movement. I was in the campaign to create an alternative to the country yesterday, I am there today and I will continue to do so tomorrow. He also said that the Genji youth movement was justified.

He said that action should be taken against the corrupt before the elections. Otherwise, corrupt leaders will get elected, he said. Stating that the government has not fallen even after toppling the old government, he said that the election should be held only after reforming the governance system. He said that there will be no stability in the country unless there is a directly elected executive system. Otherwise, the sacrifice of the Genji youth will go in vain,” he said.
