Kathmandu. Police have arrested a woman from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who was issued a red notice by Interpol on the charge of cheating and brought her to Nepal on Thursday.

The arrested is Aishwarya Dahal of Kamalamai municipality-14, Sindhuli, currently staying in Janakpurdham Sub-metropolis-16, according to Deputy Inspector General of Police Binod Ghimire.

He said, “The woman was absconding after a red notice was issued by Interpol in connection with the fraud case. He was arrested by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and brought back to Nepal for the purpose of taking action in the related case. ’

The Interpol General Secretariat on April 21 issued a red notice against her at the request of NCB Kathmandu to search for her and arrest her at international level.

Dahal has been sent to the District Police Office, Sunsari for necessary investigation and actions, according to the Interpol section at the Police Headquarters.
