Kathmandu. The Ministry of Finance has launched the Integrated Office Management System (GIOMS) from today. Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has launched the GEOMS system by approving files from this system.

The government’s concept of making the works to be carried out by the government bodies in a simple, easy, fast, frugal, transparent and effective manner through a single information technology system has been implemented.

The use of Integrated Office Management System developed by the Department of Information Technology under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has also been made mandatory in the Ministry of Finance.

Arrangements have been made to compulsorily perform certain orders and comment decisions, registration and challan of letters, attendance, leave and work approval, record management through electronic means by using the integrated office management system. The implementation of this system is expected to increase speed in decision making, economy in expenditure, transparency in work process and accountability.
