. KATHMANDU — Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said that the government was committed to holding the elections on the stipulated date.

In a message of best wishes on the auspicious occasion of Bada Dashain today, President Bhandari said that the incumbent government was formed on the foundation of an unprecedented movement of youths and expressed commitment that the government would hold the House of Representatives election on the stipulated date. She also said that she was committed to maintaining good governance in the country.

Prime Minister Karki has wished peace and happiness to all Nepali sisters and brothers at home and abroad and to all Nepalis living around the world celebrating this festival.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has said that Prime Minister Karki will not give tika this year and there is no program to give tika to the general public.
