Arghakhanchi. Two persons died and 24 others were injured when a jeep met with an accident at Sandhikharka-9 in Arghakhanchi district this morning.

The ill-fated jeep (Lu 1 Ja 4723) en route to Purkotdaha of Gulmi from Butwal met with an accident along the Sandhikharka-Dhorpatan road section this morning.

Two persons died on the spot in the accident, said Diwas GC, chief of District Police Office, Arghakhanchi. According to him, 24 people were injured in the incident. Four of the injured are said to be in critical condition.

The deceased have been identified as Aruna Thapa, 10, of Madane Rural Municipality-6, Purkot, Gulmi and Narayan Poudel, 13, of Madane Rural Municipality-7, Gulmi district, according to District Police Office Chief GC. The injured are undergoing treatment at Arghakhanchi Hospital. One of the injured has been referred to Butwal for further treatment.
