Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged one and all to preserve banknotes during the Dashain festival. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged one and all to use digital means as much as possible while giving donations.

The policy of using clean banknotes has been adopted with the objective of keeping only clean and dry banknotes in circulation. On the occasion of Dashain, it is requested to use banknotes for Dakshina along with Tika, Jamara as the offerings of the Goddess.

It has been requested not to tear, wet or litter the notes during Dashain. It has been urged not to apply water, sandalwood, akshata and abir on the notes. It has also asked to keep the notes in a clean and dry place.
