Kathmandu. Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and Urban Development Kulman Ghising has pledged to take action against transport entrepreneurs charging exorbitant fare.
Stating that complaints have been received from passengers as they have been consistently receiving complaints about overcharging passengers and black marketing of tickets, he urged the bodies concerned to put an end to such illegal activities immediately.
He urged all sides including the transport entrepreneurs to be responsible in the current difficult situation of the country and not to use the festival as an opportunity to earn money by causing unnecessary trouble to the passengers, not to charge more than the approved fare rate and not to black marketeer the tickets. He urged the transport entrepreneurs to immediately inform the local security bodies and administration if found carrying out such activities.
