The District Administration Offices of Tanahu, Chitwan and Dhading have issued a notice to those travelling on the Kotre-Muglin-Nagdhunga and Muglin-Narayangadh roads along the Prithvi Highway. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, heavy rainfall has been predicted from today till October 20.

According to the Department, a joint notice has been issued and a public appeal has been made keeping in view the possibility of heavy rain and the road movement could become more risky if it rains as per the forecast.

Chief District Officer of Tanahu, Ram Krishna Adhikari, said that people have been urged not to travel except the most essential ones during the forecasted time of heavy rain (coming 20). According to him, they have been requested to travel only after obtaining necessary information from the security bodies.

The notice also urged the government not to run heavy vehicles carrying goods except the most essential ones within the time limit. CDO Adhikari said that the local administration may have to close the vehicular movement on the highway in case of rainfall as per the forecast or if such possibility is seen and appealed to all the passengers and organizations to be alert and extend necessary support.
