Domestic flights suspended at Tribhuvan International Airport due to incessant rain

Kathmandu. Domestic flights to and from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have been suspended due to incessant rainfall since this morning.

General Manager at Tribhuvan International Airport Hangs Raj Pandey said flights to and from Kathmandu, Bharatpur, Janakpur, Bhadrapur, Pokhara and Tumlingtar airports have been suspended due to bad weather.

“The weather situation is being reviewed. International flights are taking place. However, the domestic flights have been suspended for now as it is risky to operate flights during incessant rain. ’

Domestic flights have been affected since this morning due to incessant rain. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, continuous rainfall has been taking place in various parts of the country including Kathmandu since this morning.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rainfall has been predicted for today and tomorrow while more rain is expected tonight.
