Kathmandu. At least 14 people have been killed in landslides in Ilam. According to Chief District Officer Sunita Nepal, five people died in Maijogmai Rural Municipality-5, six in Ghose of Ilam Municipality-6 and three in Mangsebung Rural Municipality-1.

Police have started reaching the incident site as some of the landslide-hit areas are located in remote areas. He added that the death toll might rise as the locals are rescuing the victims.

Meanwhile, nine people have gone missing in the landslide, according to the Armed Police Force (APF).
