Kathmandu. In the last two days, 40 people have lost their lives due to natural disasters across the country. According to the Armed Police Force (APF), 13 people were injured in floods, landslides, lightning and road accidents.
As many as 11 people have gone missing in the incident. According to the Armed Police Force, 28 people have died and two others have been seriously injured in floods and landslides in Ilam district alone.
According to APF joint spokesperson Shailendra Thapa, five died in Suryodaya Municipality, six in Ilam Municipality, two in Deumai Municipality, one in Phakphokthum Rural Municipality, three in Mangsebung Rural Municipality, eight in Maijogmai Rural Municipality and three in Sandakpur Rural Municipality.
Similarly, 2 people died in floods and landslides in Udayapur, 3 in Rautahat, 4 in Rasuwa and 1 in Kathmandu. Likewise, 8 people have been injured due to lightning in Khotang, Bhojpur, Rautahat and Makwanpur. Panchthar: Six people died and six were injured in a road accident in Panchthar district this morning.
