. KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, has forecast general rainfall across the country today due to the influence of monsoon wind carrying water vapor from the Bay of Bengal.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in most parts of Koshi and Madhes provinces while it will be generally cloudy in Bagmati and Lumbini provinces and partly cloudy in rest of the country.TAG_OPEN_p_7

According to the Meteorological Bulletin, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of Koshi and Madhes and at a few places of the Tarai and Tarai provinces.TAG_OPEN_p_6 There are also chances of heavy rain at one or two places of Koshi and Madhes provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally cloudy with the possibility of rain accompanied by thunder in the hilly region of Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati provinces towards the afternoon today.TAG_OPEN_p_5

The Division has urged the locals to stay alert and adopt necessary precaution to be safe from possible disaster as there is a risk of heavy rainfall especially in the hilly region of Koshi Province.TAG_OPEN_p_4
