Bagmati. Two roads linking Kathmandu and Hetauda have come into operation since this morning.
Thakur Sapkota, Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Makawanpur, said that the Hetauda-Kulekhani-Phakhel-Pharping road section and the Hetauda-Palung-Naubise road section have come into operation since this morning. However, the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Sisneri road linking Hetauda-Kathmandu and the Kanti Highway have not come into operation yet.
Police Inspector Sapkota said vehicular movement along the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Sisneri road section was washed away by the Dodhare rivulet and landslide occurred near Dakshinkali Temple. The works of reconstructing the swept-away road and clearing the landslide debris are going on, he added.
Likewise, a portion of the road has been washed away by the landslide up to Baguwa rivulet along the Kanti Highway road linking Hetauda-Kathmandu, said Inspector Sapkota. Police said that works are underway to clear the landslide and repair the road.
