Bagmati. As many as 16 people were injured when an Autonomous Vehicle (EV) met with an accident at Harami Chowk of Bagmati rural municipality-4 in Makwanpur district this morning.

The vehicle (Ma.P. 02-001 Ja 0072) en route to Hetauda from Sindhuli hit a motorcycle (Na 5 Pa 5558) heading towards the highway from the inside road after it lost control and fell into a gorge some 15 feet below the road, injuring 16 people including the rider and the motorcyclist.

The injured have been rescued and sent to the local Sambhi Polyclinic and Cooperative Hospital for treatment, said Thakur Sapkota, Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Makwanpur.
