Kathmandu. The government has decided to provide grants to those who lost their homes in the floods and landslides of October 1-19 for the construction of temporary shelters. The decision was taken at the 19th meeting of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management National Council.
According to the Council, it has been decided to identify the beneficiaries at the earliest in coordination with the local levels for the construction of temporary shelters for the families who lost their homes in the disaster.
Likewise, a decision has been made to immediately provide the first tranche of temporary housing construction grant after the beneficiaries are identified as per the grant criteria, 2081 BS.
Likewise, the government has decided to coordinate the relief provided by the three tiers of government and provide it through the local level without duplication.
