Janakpurdham. The provincial government in coordination with the Madhesi Foundation has provided free health insurance to the families of 140 martyrs during the Madhes movement.
According to Shubham Yadav, chairman of the foundation, 24 people are yet to be insured. The Foundation aims to insure all the people who were injured or mutilated during the Madhes and the then Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist).
The state government has been providing Rs 3,500 as insurance premium to five families of martyrs.
