Birgunj. A total of 963 small and cottage industries were registered in Parsa in the last fiscal year. In comparison to the fiscal year 2080/81, 66 more small and cottage industries were registered.

In the fiscal year 2080/81, 897 small and cottage industries were registered. Pawan Panjiar, chief industry officer at the Office of Cottage and Small Industries, said the registration of small and cottage industries was encouraging in the district.

“The men and women here are showing interest for the development of new entrepreneurship”, he said, adding that the number of registering new small and cottage industries has increased as it is a financial city. ’

A total of 758 commercial industries were registered in Parsa in the last fiscal year, according to the office. A total of 888 new industries were registered under the registration of private firms, 15 under partnership and 60 under the private limited sector in the last fiscal year.

In the last fiscal year, 753 were registered in commercial and five towards partnership firm registration. According to Panjiyar, 1,598 firms renewed their business portfolio in the last fiscal year. A total of 1,392 commercial firms have renewed their contracts. The registration of 210 industries was scrapped in the last fiscal year.
