Kathmandu. The insurance claim amount for physical and other damages caused during the Genji agitation on September 7 and 24 has reached Rs 23.22 billion.

According to the Nepal Insurance Authority, Rs 23.22 billion has been recovered from all non-life insurance companies till Wednesday.

The non-life insurance companies have claimed 3,099 insurance claims in 14 various non-life insurance companies and four micro insurance companies with claims amounting to around Rs 23.22 billion.

Out of the total claim amount received by the non-life insurance companies, about Rs 1.29 billion has been paid till Wednesday.

The non-life insurance companies have deployed 2,706 surveyors till Wednesday to prepare survey reports of damages and so far the surveyors have submitted 374 survey reports.
