No personal details asked from customers: Rastriya Banijya Bank

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has said its serious attention has been drawn towards information that some unauthorized persons have been involved in fraudulent activities by calling customers in the name of banks in recent days.

The bank has received information that such unauthorized persons are involved in fraudulent activities such as asking for personal details, providing information about fake offers and schemes and luring them with financial benefits. The bank said in a press release today. “None of the bank’s staff members or authorized representatives have ever asked for ATM PIN, OTP, email or password of mobile banking and e-banking services through phone, email or email or other personal details from their customers through phone, email or social networks or any other personal information,” the bank said in a statement. ’

A press release issued by the bank’s Deputy Executive Officer Pawan Regmi urged all not to believe unauthorised phone calls, emails or social media messages.
