Birgunj. The Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal No. 13 Battalion Headquarters Parsa has seized various customs evading goods worth Rs 66.88 million in the first two months of the current fiscal year.
The Armed Police Force (APF) deployed for border security has handed over goods worth Rs 43,33,57,568 to the Birgunj Customs Office in the months of July and August.
Similarly, in July and August, goods worth Rs 2,35,23,582 were handed over to the Revenue Investigation Office in Pathlaiya.
However, the Armed Police Force (APF) had deposited goods worth Rs 71 million 21 thousand 861 at the Birgunj Customs Office in the months of July and August 2081/82.
Similarly, in the first two months of the last fiscal year, the government has submitted goods worth more than the invoice of Rs 1,92,53,687 to the Revenue Investigation Office, Pathlaiya.
APF Parsa Commander and Superintendent of Police Puran Chandra Bhatta said that the number of goods evading customs duty and seizing goods above invoice has decreased with the enforcement of strict enforcement along the border areas. “There has been a significant increase in revenue collection at Birgunj Customs Office with the Armed Police Force tightening at the border areas,” he said. ’
Ganapati Bhatta said that he has been carrying out necessary works to control possible illegal smuggling and export in the border areas of Parsa. Birgunj Customs Office has collected Rs 39.15 billion in revenue in the first two months of the current fiscal year.
