Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has vowed to bring political and administrative reforms to address the problems like corruption, unemployment and discrimination. Issuing a video message today, Prime Minister Karki said, “We have brought a special program to provide relief to the families of the victims of the Jenji movement of September 7 and 24 and for the treatment of the injured. We are in the process of creating additional mechanisms for their welfare. ’
In a video message made public today on the occasion of the completion of a month long political movement initiated by Nepal’s Genji youths, PM Oli stressed the need for all to internalize the spirit of political revolution initiated by the youths of Nepal.
“There is a strong desire to see political and economic reform behind the sacrifices of our youth. There is an expectation of justice and rule of law in the country. We wish to see the eradication of corruption and anomalies in the country,” the PM said in the message. ’
Stating that the erstwhile government failed to listen to the voice of the youths and failed to address their demands, he said all should humbly accept their weaknesses and mistakes. “On the one hand, there is despair among our youths, and on the other hand, there is intense love for the country. I want to respect their sentiments,” she said.
The government has brought relief to the victims’ families and a special package for the treatment of the injured, she said, adding that further mechanisms were being prepared for their welfare. He also pledged to bring political and administrative reforms to address the problems of corruption, unemployment and discrimination.
Stating that she was committed to the changes desired by the youths and was moving ahead on a new path, the Prime Minister stressed the need for continuous efforts to address the demands of youths even after the upcoming elections. “All youths need to be aware of the demands raised by Jenji and the political parties need to reform themselves,” she said.
In her address, Prime Minister Karki pledged to establish a new mechanism to meaningfully involve Jenji in building a future Nepal. She appealed to everyone to exercise restraint and stop the cycle of violence.
“We need mutual goodwill and national unity to lay the foundation for building a new Nepal,” he said, adding that the incumbent government and the new government that will come after the elections will also take concrete steps to materialize the dreams of youths and make Nepal prosperous. ’
Stressing on the need for all to move ahead together in this hour of crisis, the Prime Minister said, “We will do our best not to let the sacrifices of the martyrs go in vain.” I hope that in this hour of crisis, we will all move forward together. ’
