Jhapa. Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Kushman Ghising, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and Minister for Urban Development, visited flood-affected areas in Jhapa this morning. He made observation of bridges and settlements at Arjundhara municipality and Jhapa rural municipality damaged by Kankai and Biring rivers today.

Minister Ghising made an on-site inspection of the road linking Buttabari of Arjundhara municipality to Kalisthan via Salbari and Chiyapani to Kalisthan and Mangalmadi road.

On the occasion, Minister Ghising inspected the under-construction bridge over Kankaimai rivulet at Hulaki road section in Jhapa rural municipality and surrounding areas, Assistant Chief District Officer of Jhapa, Tej Prakash Prasain, said. On the occasion, he had a brief interaction with the flood-affected people of Jhapa rural municipality-2.
