Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The government has made public the report of the Tribhuvan University (TU) Land and Immovable Property Investigation Committee today.

According to the report, around 2400 ropanis of land has been embezzled and encroached upon. The probe committee was formed in 2081 BS under the convenorship of former secretary Sharada Prasad Trital.

According to the committee, around 1,000 ropanis of land around the University has been missing, around 1,000 ropanis of land has been encroached upon in other places and around 400 ropanis of land in Lubhu and Pulchowk of Lalitpur has not been used.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Thursday had decided to send the report to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for implementation.

The report of the investigation on the encroachment of TU land was hidden in 2081 BS.
