Kathmandu. Police have arrested three Indian nationals in possession of marijuana from the customs area of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

The arrested have been identified as Salim Ibrahim Ansari (50), Rehan Mohammad Ajaz Sheikh (24) and Zainab Bashir (32), according to Binod Ghimire, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).

A joint team from Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office and Customs Office arrested them after finding around 11.275 kg of marijuana during a security check, he said. ’

Spokesperson Ghimire said that the arrested have been sent to the Narcotics Control Bureau for necessary investigation and action.
