Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has said that its attention has been drawn towards the news disseminated in various media about the cancellation of Kathmandu-Guangzhou flight on October 19 due to low number of passengers.
Issuing a press release on Monday, NAC Spokesperson Subash Dangi shared that the Kathmandu-Guangzhou flight scheduled for October 19 has been cancelled due to NAC’s internal reasons. All the passengers of the flight have been managed through alternative arrangements, the corporation said.
As per the regular flight schedule of Kathmandu-Guangzhou-Kathmandu flight, 68 passengers have been sold on Kathmandu-Guangzhou flight of October 16 and 41 passengers in the Guangzhou-Kathmandu flight of October 17.
Similarly, 93 and 20 tickets have been sold out in Kathmandu-Guangzhou flights on October 23 and Guangzhou-Kathmandu on October 24.
According to the corporation, the work of informing the passengers is on as the destination is new to Nepal and the full publicity of the destination has not been fully publicized. The corporation has also requested the entire media to support the corporation in promoting new sectors as ticket bookings are increasing in the destination.
