Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Guru Ghimire has submitted a signature to Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka demanding a special general convention of the party.

According to him, some 53 per cent of the total number of delegates for the 14th General Convention have signed the signatures and demanded a special general convention.

Submitting the signatures at the party’s central office, Sanepa, leader Ghimire said that the petition has been submitted calling for a special general convention to give new momentum and new direction to the party in the present difficult situation.
