Kathmandu. The banks and financial institutions will be able to spend the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) amount to the affected people of the Genji movement.
The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued the ‘Guidelines on Corporate Social Responsibility of Banks and Financial Institutions, 2081 BS (Second Amendment)’, which allows the banks and financial institutions and infrastructure banks to spend the social responsibility amount for the families of those injured during the Genji agitation on September 7 and 24.
There is a mandatory provision for the banks and financial institutions to spend one percent of their net profit on social responsibility.
The central bank has amended the guidelines to state that the poor and indigent people who are being injured during the Zenji agitation and are being treated in government hospitals will be able to pay the expenses provided to the hospital without having to pay for the treatment of medicines. ”
Similarly, the expenditure provided to the institutions imparting the training to the persons who were martyred in the Genji movement and the families who are not directly employed for earning income can be mentioned on the basis of the skill oriented training provided to such persons by the Government of Nepal or an organization providing skill training approved by the Government of Nepal.
