Chinese company awarded contract to print 420 million new notes of Rs 50 denomination

Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has awarded a contract to a Chinese company to print 420 million new banknotes of Rs 50 denomination.

According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, the contract was awarded to China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation.

The company was awarded the contract for printing notes at a cost of $10,422,535.21.

The company will design, print and supply the notes.
