Kathmandu. Speaker Devraj Ghimire has started consultations with the political parties to ease the current political situation of the country.

The then chief whip and whip of the political parties representing the dissolved House of Representatives were present in the meeting, said Speaker’s press advisor Shekhar Adhikari. Representatives of non-political parties except Rastriya Swatantra Party (RPP) are participating in the discussions.

The meeting with the Speaker has been seen as meaningful at a time when the central committee meeting of the office-bearers of the political parties including Nepali Congress and the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) is underway in recent days.
