Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said that the incumbent government would take action against cooperative fraudsters at any cost.
Minister for Cooperatives Anil Sinha, Secretary at the Ministry of Cooperatives Kedarnath Sharma, Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Raj Kumar Shrestha, Chairman of the Crisis Problems Resolution Committee, office-bearers of the Cooperative Regulatory Authority and office-bearers of the National Federation of Cooperative Victims Savers Protection were held together at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
During the meeting, he said that those involved in cooperative fraud should not be spared under any circumstances, according to his secretariat. “Those who have been cheated should not be spared under any circumstances. They wear gold watches. They get a fake divorce. They drive expensive cars. They can’t be spared. Instead, if there is a problem in the law, let us amend it too,” the prime minister said.
“The main task of this government is to hold elections, take action against corruption and solve cooperative problems,” she said. That’s what I’m here for,” she said.
According to him, the savings of the victims should be returned even if the houses and land of the victims are auctioned. If we don’t, who will? That’s what the government does.
