Bow. KATHMANDU: Jitendra Prasad Sonal has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Madhes Province today.

Province Chief Sumitra Subedi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Province Chief Sumitra Subedi Bhandari amidst a function held at the office of the Province Chief in Janakpurdham today.

Province Chief Bhandari had appointed him to the post of Chief Minister on Wednesday evening with the support of 56 members of the five political parties in accordance with Article 168 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.
