Kathmandu. Industries that have consumed electricity from dedicated and trunk line have started paying the arrears of premium to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
Samrat Cement, Rolpa Cement and Nawa Nepal Plastic Industries Pvt Ltd have paid the installment fees.
These three industries had started paying arrears by availing installment facility in the past. He had stopped paying the installments since April after paying some arrears with 28 installments.
Samrat Cement has paid Rs 13,49,000 per installment for the use of dedicated trunk line from January 2015 to April 2018.
The industry has paid Rs 4 million 47,000 in three installments in one go.
As per the approved installment facility, the government had paid only seven installments of the amount from June to September instead of 11 installments. Chief of the NEA, Province Division Office, Nepalgunj, Deepak Gautam said that the industry has been asked to pay the remaining amount of Rs 53.96 lakh and the industry will pay the remaining installment regularly.
Meanwhile, the NEA has received approval to pay Rs 99.12 lakh in 28 installments of Rs 354,000 per month.
After paying 6 installments, the industry stopped paying. The industry is in a position to pay Rs 17.70 lakh in five installments in one go and pay the regular installments. Now, 17 installments of the industry are yet to be paid.
New Nepal Plastic Industries Ltd (NPIC) has paid Rs 1,23,000 in 12 installments to clear its dues.
