Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s 43rd executive meeting endorses 15 proposals

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has concluded its 43rd executive meeting by endorsing 15 proposals including 14 departmental and miscellaneous proposals. The meeting held on Friday under the chairmanship of Mayor Balendra Shah discussed the work proposals of various departments and took the decision.

Three preliminary environmental test reports presented by the Department of Environment Management were approved in the meeting. Among them is Ward No. Construction and operation of commercial building in Tangal-5, Ward No. Construction and operation of Sherpa Mall building at Durbarmarg-1 and construction of Sherpa Mall building in Ward No. 1. The meeting approved the proposals for the construction and operation of institutional building of Kumari Bank located in Naxal-1.

Likewise, the Administration Department has proposed to provide Rs 1 million to Kalanki Land Revenue Office and Rs 15 lakh to Dilli Bazar Land Revenue Office. Similarly, information regarding taking land on lease for Metropolitan Hospital was also presented in the meeting.

The meeting endorsed two proposals relating to designation of child welfare officer under the proposal of the Department of Social Development and giving consent in principle for formulating the Work Procedure Act related to the establishment and operation of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Skill and Training Council.

The meeting also endorsed a proposal to renew the agreement between Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Nepal Ambulance Service and manage additional human resources in the 10 health promotion centres where health insurance has been implemented. A medical officer, a lab technician and an office assistant would be deployed at these centres.

Similarly, the National Hall Operation Directive-2082 prepared by the Department of Law and Human Rights was approved while the proposal related to the management of human resources required for the establishment of software development and operation center was approved by the Department of Information Technology.

Likewise, the Public Works Department (PWD) has approved the decision to shift the remaining maintenance work of Hanumandhoka Durbar Complex and Dabali area to another place as per the demand and need. The Secretariat of International Relations has decided to attend the 45th CTNet Executive Working Committee Meeting to be organized by CTNet in Indonesia. The meeting endorsed the proposal to nominate Rojina Shrestha as the chairperson of Ward No. 16.

The meeting also endorsed the proposal to appoint Suraj Shakya and Suman Pradhan as members of the Urban Planning Commission. The meeting also decided to provide Rs 2.2 million 99,000 grant each to 35 rural municipalities for the purchase of ambulances and increase the apron facility to the technicians and other employees of the Instruments and Equipment Division to Rs 8,000 annually.
