Kathmandu. In the first three months of the current fiscal year 2082/83, the government has spent 18 percent of the budget.
According to the Financial Comptroller General’s Office, Rs 364.58 billion or 18.56 per cent of the annual allocation has been spent till mid-October last year. The government had presented a budget of Rs 1,964.11 billion for the current fiscal year.
According to the office, 21.75 per cent or Rs 256.80 billion has been spent under the current heading till mid-October. Likewise, 4.7 per cent or 19.18 billion rupees have been spent under the head of capital management and 23.61 per cent i.e. Rs 88.60 billion has been spent under the head of financial management.
The government’s revenue collection during this period is 16.51 per cent of the target. The government has collected Rs 253.18 billion so far against the target of collecting revenue of Rs 1,533.33 billion for the current fiscal year.
The government has collected Rs 249.05 billion or 16.83 per cent of the annual target of Rs 1480 billion in internal revenue till mid-October.
Similarly, the government has so far received 3.76 per cent or Rs 2.72 billion against the target of receiving Rs 53.44 billion.
