Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has appointed Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population and the then Director General of the Department of Health Services. The Commission has filed a corruption case against 14 people, including Sangita Kaushal Mishra.

The NHRC has filed corruption cases against 14 persons, including Mishra, citing major irregularities in the procurement of mammography machines in the Department of Health Services.

The CIAA has concluded that false invoices, false reports and payment process were completed without receiving all the materials by colluding against the contract agreement.

According to the commission, it has been proved that there was collusion between civil servants and contractors from the stage of preparing cost estimate while purchasing mammography machine in the fiscal year 2080/81.
