Kathmandu. Global IME Bank has been awarded with Global Finance Magazine’s Best Bank Award 2025. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Chairman of Global Finance Bank, and Surendra Raj Regmi, CEO of Global Finance handed over the award to the bank’s Chairman Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal amid a function held in the capital on Saturday.

Global IME Bank has been named as the Bank’s outstanding bank for the year 2025 in terms of reliability, financial resource mobilization, expansion of reach, establishing strategic relationships, development of professional and customer-friendly services, and credit rating. Along with this award, Global IME Bank has been awarded with the Best Bank Award by Global Finance Magazine for 2 consecutive years. Global Finance also honored Global IME Bank in 2024.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Dhakal expressed his gratitude to all the government, Nepal Rastra Bank, other regulatory bodies, shareholders, staff and the customers for the recognition and thanked the bank.

Global Finance Magazine has honored the best banks in Africa, Asia Pacific, Caribbean, Central America, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, North America and Western Europe. Global IME Bank is the first Nepali bank to be recognized with this prestigious award by Global Finance. Global Finance has given this prestigious award to the best central banks and commercial banks of the world.

Global Finance has honored HSBC Bank of Hong Kong, State Bank of India (India), China Construction Bank of China, Global IME Bank (Nepal), UOB Malaysia (Malaysia), Citibank (Bangladesh), SMBC (Japan) among others for the year 2025.

Global Finance honored Global IME Bank with the award of “Best Bank of Nepal” for providing innovative services relevant to the needs of the customers. This is the second time that Global IME Bank has been awarded with the Best Bank Award. Earlier, Global IME Bank was awarded with Global Finance Best Bank Award 2024.
