Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Police celebrated the festival of ‘Kukur Tihar’ with service dogs. On this occasion, dogs are worshipped with garlands, tika, and special food.

The event featured demonstrations such as obedience to service dogs by police handlers. The winning dog is awarded a medal and prize.

Located on the second day of the five-day Hindu festival of Tihar, Kukur Tihar symbolizes the loyalty and spiritual connection between humans and dogs in Nepal. It is celebrated.
