Kathmandu. The Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system is to be operated on the occasion of Tihar festival as well.

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has stated that the system will come into operation on public holidays on October 13, 4, 5 and 7. The system will be closed on the day of Bhai Tika. The system will be available from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, according to the Department of Payment Systems of Nepal Rastra Bank.

The central bank has already directed the banks and financial institutions (BFIs) to operate the required banking system for clearing customs clearance. The apex court also directed the banks and financial institutions of class A, B and C to resume banking services on all days except the day of Bhai Tika.
