Bhojpur. Bhojpur: Central electricity service has been expanded to 107 houses at Ram Prasad Rai rural municipality-3, Bhulke in Bhojpur district.

The Beheshwor Hydropower Project was damaged by lightning and the settlements were plunged into darkness. Power supply to all settlements had come to a standstill after the machine of a local hydropower project was damaged due to lightning triggered by incessant rainfall from October 2 to October 4.

According to ward chair Ramu Thapa Magar, the central power expansion was carried out at the initiative of the ward after problems surfaced in the distribution of electricity at the local level. Meters have also been distributed to eighty-eight families.

The central line expansion work has been completed within five days in the settlement which remained in darkness due to the disruption of power supply in the past.
