Jhapa. The Inland Revenue Office, Bhadrapur, has collected Rs 752.74 million in the first three months of the current fiscal year. The amount collected is 16.90 per cent of the annual target of the current fiscal year.
Chief Tax Officer Gopal Bahadur Thapa said the office has set a target of collecting Rs 4.45 billion revenue in the current fiscal year. “The target of collecting revenue of Rs 871 million in the first quarter of the current fiscal year was 86.42 per cent of the target,” he said. ”
The Inland Revenue Office, Bhadrapur, has collected Rs 27.26 crore from income tax and Rs 310.924 crore from VAT and Rs 186.952 million as excise duty in the first three months of the current fiscal year. Chief Tax Officer Thapa said that the revenue was collected in the first quarter of the last fiscal year 2081/082.
Chief Tax Officer Thapa said that the office would carry out continuous market monitoring and monitoring without excessive pressure on the taxpayers to achieve the target of revenue collection in view of the present situation.
