Kathmandu. The number of mobile banking users has been increasing in recent years. According to Nepal Rastra Bank, mobile banking payments in the same period of the current fiscal year were 28.5 percent compared to the same period of the last fiscal year. It has increased by 52 percent.
As of mid-September of the last fiscal year, Rs 364.27 billion was paid through mobile banking. In the same period of the current fiscal year, payment through mobile banking has increased to Rs 468.15 billion.
According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, the number of mobile banking users was 2,52,07,122 as of mid-September of the last fiscal year. In the same period of the current fiscal year, it was 2,82,40,106.
According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, although the number of transactions has increased slightly in August compared to the month of July, the number of transactions through mobile banking has decreased in August.
Last month, the number of mobile banking users was 2,79,88,708.
According to NRB, 6,25,89,264 transactions were done through mobile banking in the first two months of the current fiscal year. In July, it was 6,31,74,594 times. It has been slightly less in August than in July.
In August, 2,82,40,106 people have paid Rs 468.15 billion in 6,25,89,264 times. In July, 2,79,88,708 people paid Rs 474.94 billion in 6,31,74,594 times.
In terms of amount, such transactions have decreased slightly in August compared to July. However, mobile banking has gained priority in recent times. The number of smartphone users in Nepal is increasing day by day. As a result, mobile banking transactions are also increasing.
