Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki held discussions with the victims of the Zenji movement. During the discussion held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, the injured urged the government to stand against the corrupt and oppressors.
A group of 18 members led by injured Rupin Khadka urged the government to take revolutionary steps, according to PM Karki’s Secretariat. On the occasion, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal apprised the nation of progress made in the investigation into the corruption and suppression of agitations.
Prime Minister Karki, Home Minister Aryal, Energy Minister Kulman Ghising, Education Minister Mahabir Pun and Information Minister Jagadish Kharel were also present in the meeting.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Karki said, “We will not go beyond the spirit of the Genji movement. We work in a procedural manner without being legally degraded. We will follow the mandate given to us. Elections are also held and corruption is investigated. ’
Stating that the established state bodies were carrying out speedy investigation into the corruption cases and they were carrying out works from their respective sides, the Prime Minister urged the injured agitators not to stop speaking out and exerting pressure on them. “Now the results will come. After the investigation, you must have heard who is saying what outside,” he said.
The injured expressed concern that some of the accused were trying to flee and hide their property. Home Minister Aryal said that those who are trying to run away and are hiding are not able to do so.
