Kathmandu. Today is the main day of Yama Panchak. It is customary for sisters to worship their brothers with seven-colored tika and garlands, wishing them good health and long life.
However, brothers who do not have sisters go to the Bal Gopaleshwar Temple at Ranipokhari to receive the tika.
The number of people taking tika has increased at Ranipokhari since this morning. Since it is opened only on the day of Bhai Tika, there is a crowd of visitors in this temple.
KATHMANDU: The Bal Gopaleshwar Temple at Ranipokhari in Kathmandu will remain open throughout the day to offer Bhai Tika to the people who do not have sisters.
Bal Gopaleshwar is opened once a year for the devotees of Kartik Shukla Dwitiya i.e. Bhai Tika ।
