Jaleshwar. With the conclusion of the Tihar festival, preparations have begun for the Chhath festival, which is celebrated as the main festival of the country including the Tarai Madhes.

Dhruba Raya, a culture expert of Jaleshwor municipality-5, said that preparations have started in ponds, rivers and lakes for the Chhath festival. Bijay Kumar Singh, ward chairman of Jaleshwor Municipality-8, said that the water bodies of Mithilanchal are being cleaned, ghats are being repaired, and road repairs are being carried out.

In Mithilanchal, Chhath festival is considered a festival of devotion and devotion. Suresh Sah Sonar, mayor of Jaleshwor Municipality, said that preparations have been started a week ago as the people of Mithila celebrate the festival with much fanfare.

A temple is being constructed using bamboo and wood in the middle of the Pathak pond at Jaleshwor municipality-8 for worshiping the goddess Surya and Chhathi Mata. Coordinator of the Chhath Puja Committee, Keshav Jha, said that they have been installing cave pandals, decorations and lamps up to 500 meters.

Anil Jha, ward chairman of Jaleshwor Municipality-1, said that big pandals and colorful decorations are being made all around the Barun Sarovar in Jaleshwor Municipality-1.

Coordinator of the District Coordination Committee, Suman Kumar Lal Karna, said that preparations are underway in the rivers of Matihani, Gaushala, Aurahi, Balawa and Loharpatti among other places of the district.
