Still. As many as 25 people have been injured in separate road accidents in Tanahun district. According to the District Police Office, Tanahu, 25 people were injured in eight road accidents that took place at night and afternoon in different places of the district on the occasion of Bhai Tika.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrawan Kumar BK informed that 12 people were injured in the bus accident that took place at Gunadi of Myagde rural municipality-1 in Tanahun along the Prithvi Highway. The bus (Ga 1 Kha 9301) was heading to Damauli from Tharpu when the accident took place.

The injured have been identified as Ramesh Acharya, 40, of Pokhara metropolis-32, Rana Bahadur Thapa,67, of Myagde rural municipality-1, Moti Bahadur Thapa, 90, Pashupatinath Ghimire, 90, Asmita Shahi, 22, Padam Bahadur Darlami, 69, Nar Bahadur Makim, 50, of Rishing rural municipality-2, Rishiram Thapa,52, and Kanchan Thapa, 15, of Ghiring rural municipality-3. The deceased have been identified as Deu Bahadur Thapa, 46, Sumitra Thapa, 27, and Surya Kala Acharya, 50, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the State Hospital Damauli. A person was injured in a road accident at Chhirkne of Byas municipality-12 in Tanahun district last night. Ashish Gurung, 33, of Abukhaireni Rural Municipality-4 was injured when the motorcycle (Ga 5 Pa 7907) en route to Damauli from Dumre met with an accident after it lost control.

Two persons were injured when a motorcycle (Ba Pra 02-057 Pa 2692) heading to Pokhara from Damauli collided at Belchautara of Shuklagandaki municipality-5.

The injured have been identified as motorcyclist Sunil Shrestha, 28, and motorcyclist Kamal Shrestha, 28, of Barbise rural municipality-6 in Sindhupalchowk. He is undergoing treatment at GP Koirala Respiratory Treatment Centre.

Similarly, two persons were injured when a scooter (Ga 21 Pa 3076) en route to Abukhaireni collided with a pole on the roadside at Abukhaireni rural municipality-1. Scooter rider Raj Kumar Darai, 26, and Sukmaya Darai, 60, of Gorkha municipality-4 were injured in the incident.

Two pedestrians were injured when a car (Ga 2 Cha 7971) en route to Damauli from Pokhara hit a pedestrian at Dulegauda of Shuklagandaki municipality-4 in the district. The injured have been identified as Apsara Shrestha, 30, and Samir Shrestha, 11, of Shuklagandaki municipality-3.

The bus was heading to Abukhaireni from Dumre at Eklephant in Abukhaireni Rural Municipality-1. Pedestrians Prem Pariyar, 35, of the same locality were injured in the accident, police said.

Similarly, Amrit Pariyar, 25, was injured when a motorcycle (Ga 8 Pa 170) en route to Rishingpatan from Bhimad met with an accident at Rishingpatan of Bhimad municipality-5.
