Kathmandu. Seven persons died on the spot when a jeep met with an accident at Lisne of Banfikot rural municipality-7 in Rukum (West) district this morning.

The jeep (Ra 1 Ja 422) was heading to Syalakhdi of Aathbiskot municipality-2 from district headquarters Khalanga this evening. Information Officer of District Police Office, Rukum West, Police Inspector Hari Prasad Pun said that seven people died on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Kamala Oli, 30, Tek Jung Budha, 16, Dil Maya Budha, 15, Manika Oli, 17, Sharmila BK, 18, Gopal Oli, 22, of Syala in Aathbiskot municipality-2 and 10 others who died in the accident.

The injured have been rescued and taken to the District Hospital, Salle. The jeep fell 700 meters down from the road. More details are awaited.
