Kathmandu. Digital access to Nepal’s capital markets is expanding rapidly. According to the CDSC, there are 71,23,715 demat accounts so far.

Out of those who have opened demat accounts, 62,830 people are using my share service. The number of active users of the service is 43,92,347.

According to CDSC, 14.77 billion units of shares have been demat in the market. A total of 15,07,309,139 units of shares are listed.

Lately, share trading has been done online. At present, the application for ordinary shares and trading in the secondary market is also done online. You don’t need cash for payment. This has also led to an increase in the number of users of Demat, My Share. Online has also helped to make the market transparent.
