Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal has urged the groups staging street demonstrations for dialogue, putting forth various demands.

During a meeting with chiefs of security bodies held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, he said the government was ready for dialogue.

“The government addresses the political demands through dialogue. We had to come into dialogue. The government is ready for dialogue. It is not necessary to go on the streets,” he said. He said that the protesters should be aware that the rights of others should not be violated while exercising democratic rights.

“Public and private property were not damaged. There was no violence anywhere. It is the request of the government to the various political forces and agitators,” he said.

According to him, the government was focused on creating an environment conducive for the election by normalizing the security situation.
