Kathmandu. Police have arrested three Indians in possession of what appeared to be narcotic marijuana.

KATHMANDU: Police have made public three persons arrested with 7.295 kilogrammes from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

The arrested have been identified as Hargobinda Singh (25), Samir (19) and Firoz Ahmad (27), according to Deputy Inspector General of Police Binod Ghimire. They were arrested from the customs area of the airport on Friday afternoon and made public today, he said.

Hargobind and Sameer were arrested with 3.54 kilogrammes of the contraband and 3.655 kilogrammes of goods imported to Kathmandu from Mumbai by an Air Asia flight, police said.

Spokesperson Ghimi said that the arrested have been sent to the Narcotics Control Bureau for necessary investigation and action.
