Kathmandu. Crude soybean oil was the largest import commodity in the current fiscal year. According to the Department of Customs, Nepal imported crude soybean oil worth Rs 30.24 billion in the first three months of the current fiscal year.
Similarly, diesel is the second most imported commodity during this period. Diesel imports amounted to Rs 20.69 billion. Chemical fertilizers are in third place. It is worth Rs 17.11 billion.
Petrol is in fourth place. Petrol was imported worth Rs 16.76 billion in the first three months of the current fiscal year. LPG is worth Rs 13.98 billion. During this period, smartphones alone amounted to Rs 13.62 billion.
